Bud break is just around the corner, so now's the time to check off the rest of the spring to-do list in the vineyard. Join us at Petoskey Farms on Tuesday, April 26th starting at 6pm to learn more about important spring vineyard tasks other than pruning to get the growing season off to a great start.
We'll be discussing topics such as creating an under vine management plan, soil sampling to prepare a fertilization plan and dormant season sprays for disease control. Petoskey Farms will be demonstrating their Clemens under vine cultivator as part of the discussion on weed control.
We will have Bernie Steenwyk, agronomist from Ellsworth Farmers Exchange, speaking about what products and services Ellsworth has available as growers prepare for the season.
Chris Anderson will be speaking about the Michigan Agricultural Environmental Assurance Program (MAEAP) and what the program has to offer growers.
This event is free to SAGGA members and $10 for non-members. All are welcome to attend!
